I don't want to disappoint u but we sent them a letter 2 times and we did't get any e-mail back Maybe they considered our e-mail not important

Regarding the embassy responding to emails, I've sent them 4 emails and had 2 replies. My wife emailed them twice and had one reply.

Regarding our application, she received medical re-do today. Hopefully this means no interview. Thankfully she got the request early enough that she was able to get an appointment this Saturday, the Dr. is on vacation for 2 weeks starting next week!

Guys who know why passport copies r requested if they r going to ask for passports later? And is it a good sign to ask for them?

Don't know if it is a good sign or not, but they are asking many people for copies on this forum, so I assume it is the normal course. Usual course for Visa exempt countries is to ask only for copies, not the actual passport as don't need a "Visa stamp" if you are from exempt country.

The ‘Passport Request' letter instructs the applicant on how to send a photocopy of the bio data page of their passport and, if applicable, the bio data page of the passports of their accompanying spouse and dependent children.

Applicants from visa-required countries

The ‘Passport Request' letter instructs the applicant on how to send their valid passport and, if applicable, the valid passports of their accompanying spouse and dependent children.

Permanent resident visas cannot be affixed to diplomatic, official or military passports.

Hello everyone!

I'm an applicant for a PR via Warsaw office an out land applicant, visa except country. My husband is sponsoring me...

We have applied back in June 2014. Since then we haven't heard anything apart, back in September they have transferred my file to Warsaw from Mississauga. I did my medicals back in June 2014, today they have sent me an email and requesting a medical examination.

So, I'm confusing now do I really need to take a medical testing again? Because, medicals are valid for a one year. Also, it was always showing that they have received my medical results in a first place.

Well, I received my TRV in the mail and I have to pick up my renewed passport as my current one was expiring in November. I'm not sure if those two conditions require that I report it to the VO or not...i.e., my new status in Canada, as well as perhaps providing a "new" photocopy of my passport (the old one I sent a copy of back in January).

"The passport should be valid for the next twelve months and should be the passport that you intend to use to enter Canada"
So I guess u have to send ur new passport copy as soon as possible otherwise they will contact u concerning the expiration date of ur old passport..
