Hello everyone, my mother whom I am sponsoring to Canada got an email request to submit copy of passport with 2 photos to Warsaw, for final step of PR, although up to this point LVO was Ottawa. We have run into a problem with regards to how we would get the documents back from Poland. We are supposed to either show up in person, send appointed person or use courier service. My mother is currently in Latvia, and none of the courier companies we contacted so far, offer such a service outside the country of residence. They can deliver the documents, but none offering to pick them up from embassy when ready and delivering back to her. Tried Fedex, UPS and DHL. Anybody dealt with this lately? Which courrier people use for those not living in Poland?

Ladies and gents! We got a passport request a week ago. Applied Dec 2017. Don't be discouraged by how long our process took, yours will probably take a lot less. Our case wasn't too straightforward, my wife is a Russian citizen living in the States. Best of luck to you all in the coming spring/summer season!

@svilli , thanks for the news. Now I'm in a position to choose: to be happy or sad :) DM for April 2018 means it's precisely a 12 months process. I did hope it could be faster. I've read through this thread once back to 2017, and there were cases when they were done in 8-9 months only.
I'm wondering if AOR2 date means something or no matter when you got AOR2, only the date when an application was originally received by CPC-Sydney matters (which has more sense).

I'd propose to choose "happy" ;) They have finally started to process family class.
Positive thinking drives changes and we will get our news soon, I believe!

They have finally started to process family class.
Can you please elaborate on this? :) It looks like you know more than we do. If they have finally started, does it mean they haven't worked on that before? Where's this information from? Thank you!

Hi, welcome to the waiting game;)
My background check was started somewhere around AOR1 date.
Usually the starting date, that every one puts in statistics, is when you first time see it. As there is no notice in My CIC account & ecas.
