WANTED: Accommodation near Dorval/Downtown Montreal

I am a new immigrant and looking for some room or shared accommodation in Dorval or Downtown Montreal region; with easy access to transportation i.e. buses and Metro. I am non smoker and pet unfriendly. I am quite but easy going, friendly and flexible male of 34. I would love to have accommodation shared with some Muslim colleague or people from sub-continent.

I would be moving to Montreal in Jan on twp and my work place will be saint nicolas street. I am a practicing muslim, 32, in software profession and my family will come some time late next year when i intend to move to a separate place. Let me know if you think i can be accommodated.

I've looked at Kijiji.ca MontrealStays.com and Craigslist.com.. I found all the sites helpful so far! If you find any other helpful database please tell me as I am also looking for a downtown furnished apartment !

you should try navut.com as well. It does not list apartments itself directly. But it greatly helps you understand the demographics of the city and then choose a locality for yourself, after which it could refer you to specific adds for accommodation.

It might take some time to learn exploring the site, but IMHO it is worth it.
