Hi everyone!

Im a girl from Chile, southamerica, and want to visit my boyfriend from Québec during 1 month, he has visited me in my country 4 times during the 3 years we have of relationship, and now he's gonna send me a letter invitation saying I go there to meet his parents, pass time together, meet the city and have inmersion in french and he will pay for me during the time im over there, and also help me with place to stay in his home with his parents , so well the problem is Im 22 yo and i finished my university like 7 months ago and i dont have any job, but I have around 2000$ CAD, in my bank account, and I live in a small town with my mom who is 62 yo professional retired already, and I take care of her and make company during all this time, becuz she have some health problems.
So questions are
1.- how to prove that I will come back? What I have already is enough for them?
2.- How much money my boyfriend needs in her account for pay for me during my trip?
3.- Would be good idea to say that my bf visited me in my country 4 times already and show copy of his passport?

1 - The only strong tie I see in your case is the taking care of an ill mother, do you have brothers and sisters who can take care of her? If not, it should make your case stronger. Unfortunately, someone in your age and with your situation, no job or school to return to, approval may be less likely.

2 - You or he will have to show funds covering the duration of your stay.

3 - Yes.

If your intention is to come to learn French, have you looked at coming as an International Student? You would have to find a compelling reason to learn French and explain how it would help you find work at home. Having only $2,000 could be an issue, but if you are able to meet the financial requirements (the actual amount is probably explained in the instructions for student applications), it may be easier to convince the VO that you will leave than if they think you are coming to spend time with your boyfriend of three years. (Would DEFINITELY NOT include information regarding boyfriend's visits in your application as that only strengthens ties to Canada.) Either way, make sure the duration of stay is reasonable and if claiming only tie is care of ill mother, what arrangements are made for her care in your absence?

First part, about you aunt taking care of your mother, sounds good. Second part, about you going to Canada to learn French by spending time with your boyfriend, doesn't sound too convincing. Like Pippin explained, enrollment in French course may be a good reason to there. You may not even need a study permit if duration of course is less than six months, but I am not sure.

I think I can ask only 2 weeks of Visitor Visa, do you think this could help me, with the fact that i don't have a stable job but money?

Having a compelling reason to visit Canada is one thing, but of less importance than convincing the VO of your STRONG TIES to your home country. If you have been out of school for 7 months and not been employed in that time, the VO may jump to the conclusion that you have few employment opportunities in your home country. Can you account for the past 7 months in a productive manner?

Well I dont got stable job by personal choice, but of course I've been working by my own, participating in fashion runways shows and selling my designs to people, working on my own fashion brand and by internet also, etc. But I dont think this can count for a strong tie, and I have no legal paper who say I do this and that as proof :-X

I doubt you will be granted a visa unless you can prove strong ties to your home country, I am sorry to say. How can you make your last 7 months sound like a more positive step of the progression of your career? Do what you can to strengthen that point before you put in a visa application. Each time you are denied, it makes it more of a challenge the next time.

Well like I said I've been working as freelance totally, and I dont know how to demostrate this on the application. Anyways about my situation, its why Im trying to be sure about my opportunity to get the visa before to ask it, cuz I know after some refuses, situation is more difficult each time.
Thank you a lot for your help!

Show your income from your freelance work. How do you advertise and sell your work? Get reference letters. Include evidence of your work in runway shows. Use cover letter to explain the work you do, how you are actively growing your brand, etc, and attach these documents for support. Downplay your boyfriend financing your trip. It only strengthens your tie to Canada and away from home. It is better that you appear to be financially able to pay your own way. Do you have any previous travel history?
