So here is my story. My wife lives in the Philippines. We are married for a year now. I have some tax issues for a business so I think before I can get her a visa to live here I need to fix those tax issues. My family wants to meet her for Christmas time. If we are married can she get a tourist visa? An agent in the Philippines told her if me and my mom write an invitation letter there is a chance she could come. Also how much money should I have in my bank account to show I can support her while shes there on vacation? I need some advice.. its hard to live so far away.

Thanks to you all

Your wife can get a visitor visa but the likelihood is not good. She is married to a Canadian who lives in Canada. She needs to show that she will go home after the duration of the visit. The invitation letters may help. She needs to show very strong ties to the Philippines, but remember she had a very strong tie to Canada and that is you.

Don't ask for two much time. I would say two weeks max. Good luck.
