I have a boyfriend there in Canada (a Canadian citizen) whom I met online about less than 2 years ago and we have this blossoming relationship for over a year now. I live in the Philippines (Filipina) since we are worlds apart, we continuously communicate through daily emails, chats, video calls and sometimes short phone calls. I'm proud to say that our love/relationship is genuine. We both share our dreams and one of them is to get married and to start our life together. One of our concern was that he has this fear of flying and he never had tried riding an airplane ever since, so on the first 3 months (2011) of being in the relationship I tried applying for a TRV which we thought was one way for us to be able to see each other in person and spend time together but unfortunately I was rejected. Though it happened we never lose hope we waited for some time and then I re-applied for TRV in 2012 hoping that I'll get it and we could start building our dreams but on the second time I was rejected. We were both disappointed and frustrated about it. All we want is to be together and live a simple and happy life together.

Given the situation, is there anyway we can be together, for me to be there and start our life together, we are 2 persons who are in love, it's just the distance that keeps us apart.

Has he tried to go to your homeland to get married? I'm not entirely clear on that, but I'm pretty sure no matter where you are married as long as you have a marriage certificate, you can get married and then he can apply to sponsor you! :)

Hi parker24, no he hasn't tried going here because of his fear of flying
It's either we marry in Canada or in the Phils. but unfortunately I was not granted a visitor visa to Canada :(

Are there particular reasons that were given to you explaining why your visa applications were rejected?
