Want to apply for open work permit on behalf of spouse study permit.

Hie,

We are in US on temporary visa.I am having question regarding spouse Open work permit.

I got my study permit approved for sep'10 session from buffalo.Now I want my husband to apply for Open work permit on behalf of my study permit.He is working in US as full time employee.
Can somebody please help me in guiding how can we apply for open work permit like what all documents we need to submit to them.Do we need to apply for TRV first or Can directly apply for open work permit?? What are the chances??

you need to apply for a TRV.

I m having one more query...when v r applyin for TRV..do v need to request consulate for open work permit tooo ??

open work permit is stamped for you at the PoE. you need to show the VO all the relevant docs. (offer letter, the visa letter from CHC, proof of funds and so on)

then they will stamp the open work permit on your passport there.

I am also on temporary visa in usa.we are planning to apply for canada student visa for my husband(dependent).
he already given academic ielts.I have some quetions.we are planning to apply for algoquin career academy for october 2010.
1.have you submitted medical with ur application?I have only one month to apply.
2.this college is not under spp then my application will be processed in general?
3.how much score we need in ielts?
