My brother in law lives in Canada who is a Canadian Citizen is ready to give me an invitation letter..please tell me he has to send the invitation letter via mail or he can scan it and send it to me?

Here's the format

He can print, sign and scan. Then email to you.

Hi,

Letter can be hand written or printed, either is acceptable. (My suggestion would be printed one)
The letter needs to be duly signed by the person who is inviting you (signed by your brother in law in your case).
