Why do you want to wait in the walk-in queue? They have appointments open from mid August unless you are in a hurry. Remember you will have to queue up to collect so avoid once if you can

Can I surrender my indian passport before I get my certificate & apply for canadian passport afterwards ?

I am waiting for legal name change & not sure how much time it would take so wanted to get these things done beforehand.

You cannot surrender Indian passport without canadian citizenship certificate

If you don't mind me telling, how many days you had to wait before getting your certificate. I had oath on 5th July.

I didn’t go today as I read they close at 1pm, and shall try only on Monday - shall keep you guys posted.

Mine was Scarborough and they’re pretty good (fast) in sending the certificates upon oath.
