Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi!

I have go t to make a very serious, crucial and life challenging decision ASAP and I need your help/guidance. I would appreciate if you could share your knowledge or experiences with me. I'll appreciate that a lot.

I filed my grant of citizenship in March 2014. My ecas status is active and shows that my case is in progress. Many people suggested me that I could leave Canada after filing my application. However a few people saw problems in leaving as I may get RQ (which I want to avoid). I never left Canada during the last 3 years. I submitted the photo copies of all of the pages of my passport. I worked full time in my own field.

My questions are .....

1- Do people get RQ after their citizenship tests?
2- Is it considered as 'FRAUDULENT or DISHONEST ACT' if you leave Canada after grant of your citizenship application without informing cic?

3- How would cic know that I left Canada after filing my application, is it a big deal for them? AS a result would they send me RQ after my test. [I'll be outside Canada till I get my test call!

Plz. clarify

I think it's hard to tell
There will be a short interview after the citizenship test
You might be questioned about your intention to stay in Canada
And issued an RQ then
Nobody can say for sure since it's subjective that they issue you RQ

What's wrong with you? Why did you even bother to open this thread and read it. I guess you've never learnt etiquettes throughout your life. Through this thread I had only addressed seniors or vigilant individuals and not intruders and cynical people like you.

Let me make it clear that I got job from a Canadian company who have their branches in the Middle East. I'll work outside and pay my taxes in Canada, pay my house mortgage and my family expenses!!!

I am wondering you had the audacity to call yourself 'WE ...the Canadians' by excluding me. Wow.... Plz. stop this nonsensical attitude and be generous by accepting people and their predicaments. Feel empathy and prove you are a 'man' and not manimal!! ;)

Nomi2012,
The short answer is that you can leave Canada. the risk of an RQ will be slightly higher. However if you have ties in Canada your case will be easier. By the way, there is still a risk of you getting an RQ pre-test or post-test regardless if you're in Canada or not.

If I was you, I would assess the situation based on the job offer outside Canada. Is this offer hard to pass on? Will you still be able to relocate in a year or two when you get your citizenship.

Don't panic about this situation. You chose Canada regardless. Even if you work or have some personal obligations outside Canada. So don't answer trolls on the forum. Some people generalize and assume everyone has the same experience and life priorities.

Keep us posted about on what you decide on. Don't leave us hanging :)

Please read this passage from an OB for CIC agent.(see last item)

Indications declared residence may be in question:

• Applicant had a previous application for citizenship that was refused on residence. (CPC
referral.)
• Applicant had a previous application for citizenship that was abandoned or withdrawn. (CPC
referral.)
— Passport
• Stamps in passport indicate that the applicant has not declared all absences from Canada.
• When coming to write an exam or to have a quality assurance interview, the client’s passport
shows recent entry stamp to Canada or an exit stamp from another country.

And what are you going to tell the officer when you come back for the test after being 2.5 years outside Canada from your job in the Middle East, that you came for the test then you are going back the next day. What impressions are you giving them that you want to live in Canada? What benefit are you to the Canadians apart from paying taxes? You probably applied as a Federally Skilled worker because Canada needs you, then you decided to leave the minute you are eligible for Citizenship? this is an indication that you are not here in Canada for the Love of Canada, but for the Love of the Passport. This is called being a leech. Some people try to be nice and give a sugar coated reply. I give the answers that everyone wish to say. I don't care if you don't like the reply, this is my opinion and the opinion of many others as well.

In Canada, there is shortage of work in certain areas of work esp. in mine. I earn less than $20,000/= a year. It's not me alone there are dozens of Canadian born and raised professionals who earn the same as there is too much saturation. Many gave up and became leeches like yourself who has been making his ends meet on social welfare or spend their lives befooling themselves on their millennial stereotype ideologies and end up being a GREAT burden on the economy and govt. People like you merely are the discouraging critics who are always pessimists.
Look at the other side of the coin and stop filling water in the bottomless glass and mind your own business!
I don't want to live my life in co-op housing or 1 bed apartment like you are planning to. I want to save money to buy a house and start my own business in Canada. This is my country now!!! My home-land!!! I have already abandoned everything back home. It's just matter of time I'm coming back in few years and live here forever. :p :-* :p

BTW there are only very few sober, respectable, wise and caring people who use 'sugar-coated' words so that others don't get offended but 'YOU' would not understand, you know why......??? Just forget it, you won't even understand!!!

I know I'm wasting my time by reply to your brainless, cynical, over-rated opinion. You think everyone is like you. ;D

Thank you very much for your kind, encouraging reply. Thank you for feeling the empathy. Well, frankly speaking, the offer right now is once in a life time kind of opportunity. These kinds of offers are seldom received. Therefore, I wanna avail that. Living in my current salary is a herculean task. I brought around 50,000 to Canada out of which I got only approx. nothing left.

To support my family, I need a minimum of 3 to 4 thousand a month but you know Canadian economy is facing problems in several areas and mine atop them all.

I'll take some professional opinion on this!! Will keep posting.
Thanks for your concern and good luck!!!

leaving canada for extended period after applying for citizenship for a job in a middle eastern company will give you an RQ if you do not justify your answers on to how good is your ties to canada is ???...

they might deny your citizenship too!!! ..not anybody can come as a PR and wait for three years and apply for citizenship anymore to get canadian passport ...and i can give your name and numbers of people who are pr but denied citizenship for more then once in last 8 years of my stay in canada ...

so everything will turn out fine -------------i don't believe in it ...neither should you ..short stay out for family reasons is clearly visible to CO then extended stay and YOU WILL GET QUESTIONED FOR IT ..

Thank you.
Is it a good reason that I was not able to make my ends meet for the last 3 years and a half. I needed money to make a down payment to mortgage a house. That's why, I left my family in Canada and went for a 10 months contract. Additionally, with my international experience, I have better scope and better chances to find a better job in Canada.

Is it a proof to ties with Canada if I mortgage a house here in Canada. Keep money in my children's RESP account. Deposit money in my Canadian bank account on monthly basis. Keep applying for jobs in Canada through jobbank.com

Thanks for your concern and help!!
