WAITING TIME

hi everyone,

I applied for canada PR on October 15th 2013 from US, the USPS delivery date shows Oct 21 2013 received. I haven't yet received any receipt or confirmation of delivery neither my credit card has been charged. I am getting anxious. Is anyone else in the same boat. Please help

CIC is still working on applications from August/September and hasn't opened your application yet.

It's perfectly normal that you haven't heard anything yet and that your credit card hasn't been charged.

Your question is already answered above. It's normal. Too early for you to hear anything and too early for your credit card to be charged.

Looks like we are in the same boat. Keep us posted on your status. I guess the cic is taking too long and like scylla said the cic hasn't even looked at aug/sept.

Last year it took only one month to start processing but this year maybe because they were having strike in CIC for last few months. You also please keep posting if any update..thanx

I m hearing from the forum that since the quota for 3142 was reached on November 27 I may have not made it. I m still waiting on any kind of information from cic

My NOC also 3142. What do you mean 'you may have not made it'. I think they will not reject your application until they receive it before 300 cap. In case of mine they receive it Oct 10 and the cap was on 27 Nov!

they received it on october 10th but your file is not open yet so 99% you are not into the cap,it will take another 2 or 3 months for them to send your application back.
don't have high hopes for immigration this year and keep watching for the fsw 2014 intake if there is any.

In that case my application was received on October 21 and the cap was reached on NOC 27. What I understood from some other threads was the cap 300 means that they have send the AOR those applicants . These are people from sept. So I don't know what's happening in here now. I m confused

Yes - that's correct. The cap only includes those who have received AOR. And the cap was reached before CIC started opening applications received in October.

This means your application unfortunately arrived too late and will be returned to you unprocessed.
