Depends on what additional documents were asked. If it is RQ expect a delay from 6 to 18 months...

Also depends on your luck! and the local office your case is in.

I don't know exactly where you moved from but if middle east especially from UAE, this may be part of the CIC's effort to stop people maneuvering around regulations.

Almost every one I know who came from UAE got RQd and delayed by at least an year in the process. Innocent people are paying the price for acts of some criminals!!!

I can't specifically comment on this without background information but to be on safe side I will suggest you get an exit/re-entry record from your previous country (based on my guess of UAE) for minimum four year period prior to your citizenship application date. It will be much better if you can get complete record for the period beginning your residency calculations until now. This record will speak by itself and will remove any flags raised if any.

Are you a single application or family?

If CIC is not asking specifically for a particular document, consider getting an ATIP too and attach that as an additional proof.

As far as you were in Canada during the period there will be no problem in establishing it.
Remember it is easier to prove a truth.
So there is no need or use to be So Concerned!!!

Thanks .

I did submit my record of movement already for the entire period from the date I became a resident of UAE till the cancellation of my visas or myself and my entire family before we move to Canada and settle here permanently and the record was issues a week of my interview which clearly shows my visa cancellation and the of my final departure from there and for the last four years shows no transactions the last date on the report was the date when I depart the country permanently and my Canadian record of movent shows no transaction of course.. I never left canada for the last four years... I got another record of entry exit from UAE last week which is no different than the other one I submitted other than the issue date. Shall I send this one too although they did not ask for a specific period anyway.

one technical question on RQ guys please reply.

I see RQ given for different reason when there is ambiguity. so if I ask if anyone got RQ even after submitting children 4 years Canada school record.
I understand RQ is only issued in ambiguity and repeated asking for additional documentation when they think you are not physically present.

then my question is why don't we all submit school record , ohip health records and CBSA record and avoid additional papers asked like UAE entry exit.

asking for UAE entry exit is in very rare case when they think you are not here as you did not submit good tie documentations like property, school record, ohip record, job record in Canada. am I right?

Unforturely even if you submit all supporting docs with your application cic requast more docs/ same docs if you want to they want to see the requested docs when that only ask for it as a precaution I would prepare everything in advance and keep them handy in case.

Typically I submitted my record of movement during the interview but they requested again from me after 9 months!! One month since they received it and nothing happend so far

Out of all mentioned documents, only CBSA and school records can really prove about your where abouts...every thing else is a guess.

When they ask for movement records from UAE, then you have no option to avoid it.
