Hey folks,
I applied for Study Permit from India under SDS category on April 5,2023. from India. My biometric was completed on Apr 11, and medical update on Apr 14 respectively. I have been since waiting for a decision on my application. Today marks the 49th day, and official processing time is roughly 7-8 weeks.

Anyone in the same boat? Should I raise a webform/mp enquiry for my application, or just wait and watch

Thanks and Regards

Wait a few more weeks. There was an IRCC strike in those weeks. Why would you get a MP involved If you are not in Canada?

Hi Thanks for your response.
I understand there was a strike, but I m bit tensed since May applicants have been getting their results. U think I can expect my result by this month?
Thanks

The delays can be due to the profile. For instance, family cases generally take more time to review. Or if there is a education gap etc. Can you share more details of your profile ?

Wait this out. Processing times are average and every application has its own complexity. Good Luck

Hello, thank you for your response. I can understand processing times are subjective and may depend on the application too. I can wait this out, but do you think a webform stating that my application is bit delayed will hurt? Or I should just leave it as it is.
Thank you

Hi
Yes I do have around 4-5 years of study gap, and work experience. I believe that is why my file is taking a bit longer that usual? Does it makes sense to raise a webform for application delay , since it has been 7 weeks now

2 people and I am number 3 that have already suggested you wait a few weeks before submitting a web form.

A webform never hurts. Try it.

Hey folks, so just an update that I am still waiting for a response on my SP application. I have not raised a webform yet as recommended by senior members
@Canada2020eh @BA101 and @Naturgrl.

But yesterday, I applied for GCMS from IRCC and CBSA to silently check why my application is stuck, and If I can get some actionable information. I applied them in a jiffy and later wondered if it would slow down my application processing.

Is it a fact or a myth that applying GCMS notes for in-process Study Permit, delays your application, or has -ve impact? Would love the inputs of senior members because I didn't find a relevant post on this topic.

Thanks & Regards

Notes have no impact as such
