Waiting on PR (PEQ-Student) - PGWP expiring in a few months. Quebec equivalent of a BOWP?

Hi everyone,

French national in Quebec - studied here and then obtained a PGWP (full duration) that will expire mid-December 2025.

I applied for PR in Feb 2025, and this is my timeline in so far:


Feb 3rd - Application Submitted
Feb 24th - AOR +BIL
Feb 27th - Biometrics Completed
March 21st - Pre-Arrival Services + Passed Upfront Medical Exam
April 1st - Final Decision - "Your application is in progress"

INFO: I think this FD is a glitch and won't come with a final decision for another few weeks (as per other online accounts). I don't expect P1/P2 before May, at the earliest.

Just trying to prepare for a worst case scenario where I don't get my eCOPR before the expiry of my PGWP.

What are my options then? Is there a BOWP equivalent in Quebec/for QSWP and are PGWP holders eligible for it?

I know I can get a Working Holiday visa, or cancel my current application to go down an EE stream, but I'd rather not uproot my life in those ways....

Hi @Mirimiri BOWP is also available to Quebec applicants as long as you have a valid CSQ and include a copy of it in you BOWP application. But fingers crossed that you won't need it and get eCOPR well before mid-December!
