Damn. I feel you. Thats a very long wait. Hope it gets sorted soon and you hear the good news man
For some reason, it seems they boosted the speed for new applications and kept the older ones on the side? Thats quite frustrating, really is.
Oh Ok!! When did u get such email confirming approval and waiting since how many days for PPR mail?

I did call CIC many times. Last time was 2 days ago. The agent said I passed eligibility and I'm under security check. She added that I should expect a PPR around end of next month.

I got an email today saying my account has been updated. When I logged on to my account there was no change in the status but a new message. Can someone advise if this is PPR mail or something else???
My status remains same as earlier :
Application status We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
The new message in my CIC account runs couple of pages but essentially means the following:
This is in reference to your application for permanent residence. To finalize your application, we require: 1) Passports ( Gives VFS details etc) 2) Photographs ( gives instructions/details)
3) Change in Circumstances Should any of the following circumstances apply to you (or any person included in your application), you must inform this office immediately: Change in marital status, for example due to marriage, divorce, annulment or death; Death of applicant, dependant of sponsor/assisting relative; Birth of a child and/or pregnancy Change in health; The laying of criminal charges or conviction for a criminal offence; A change in availability of funds for use in Canada; Change of address or phone number
4) Submitting your passport(s) in Canada (CPC-O) If you have a mailing address in Canada and if you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit your passport(s) to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa. You are required to send your document(s) together along with a copy of this letter by mail or courier to the following address with the additional following document: A self-addressed, pre-paid Xpresspost envelope from Canada Post. Purchase your prepaid letter-sized (32 x 24 cm) Canada Post Xpresspost envelope (Regional if you live in Ontario or Quebec; National for other provinces and territories), at any Canada Post retail outlet. Complete the mailing label showing your full mailing address in the “Deliver To” field. Make a note of tracking numbers for each envelope. Really? But it nowhere clearly says that my PR application has been approved... Also my application status still shows as under review, so does the BC and other as I explained above.. Little confusedThat's PPR! Congrats!
Yes it changes to approved when copr is issued. Dont worry just party!!!
