Now its 49 months past I applied for PR from singapore office. After 4 weeks of applying, I received the acknowledgement letter only and till then no response. I got really stuck with time. Will you pls pls share something for this waiting time. At the parallel time my several frineds have applied and the result is similar.

Second, I am a hospital pharmacist and in the recently designed 38 high demand occupation list, its absent. Is there any chance to affect my status as well by any means?

Best wishes for everybody as i recently joined this group and found informative.

According to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/02a-skilled-fed.asp#asia 80% of cases in Singapore are finalized by 50 months. You can enquire at the visa office about what is happening with your case. If you think you might be faster applying under the new rules, you can do that instead.

Check on line status ,if it shows IN PROCESS then write an e mail to singapore office and enquire status of your application.

Unfortunately, the data on the CIC website is not up-to-date. The IA (initial assessment) is now 4 1/2 years from the previous 4 years. As they have decided to deal with the skill worker applicants only if they have an AEO, we do hope that the time gets aright again and we can see the end of the road with a positive input, God Willing.

Truly, I dont think they used to update their online data regularly. Even such instance is available,, applicant has landed to canada and online status shows IN PROCESS. Last week I send a query to singapore immigration office through cic website advertise query email account. The reply was " Given our current caseload, the queue for initial screening is approximately 4 years from the date of application. Please await further contact from this office. You may check on the status of your application on the web at: www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/index.html Sender email: re-singapore-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca.

However interested applicants can write also to this email address and asked for the application status. If anybody has better response or new information, pls share. at least it could pacify our mind.

all the best wishes to all of you and thanks at advance to reply

I have a doubt... for last couple of months, the news came again and again in the media,, they would like to reduce the backlog of immigrant applicants. They also made a debate of several times, skille worker migration should get the priority over temporary worker or the other class of immigration. I was quite hopeful about something good news as at any other time i am expecting a msg from singapore immigration office. But surprisingly, for us who applied before the new rule, simplified application process, theres no news. Rather they introduced the PNP program, canadian experience class migration, 38 high demand occupation list with arranged employment and declared that if candidates fall in such categories, he / she will get the immigration within 16 months.

My question, did you find anwhere applicants who have applied in 2003/2004/2005 under the skilled worker category and till now dont have any arranged employment,,, and no response from the immigration office will be affected at any way???? At least i can understand they are more interested with the AEO applicants. but what about us???? i am sure they are very big in quantity

thanks for the time.

They are reducing the backlog by changing the system for new applications. The new applications are more restricted to certain occupations but also move faster. Their goal is that they will process FSW in 6-12 months. They are not really making it faster for old applications but their goal is that the backlog will at least stop growing and eventually they will catch up.

pharmacy exsists in the list,it's under managers in health care or chemist
Nice try, no cigar, pharmacist is not the on the "list" it is a standalone NOC and is not listed under Managers or geochemist.

Re: Pharmacist

Managers in health care,,, code 0311. Chief of pharmacy...pharmacy, chief of... etc. Pharmacist are included in that catagory i.e. 38 high demand education list. But they must be the most seniors and experienced one. Personally i can claim for that post as I have almost 10 years of experience in this arena. My question:

1. Already applied for PR in nov 2004 i.e. profession pharmacist. If I send to cic office of my recent experience i.e. can match the recent 38 high demand list and ils score, can i have a better response from them???

2. Whether I can submit new application under the 38 high demand occupation list category under SW. CIC should give a result within 6 to 12 months as per the immigration minister declared...

Though the high demand list finalized in november and effective from february 2008, if anybody have any news... pls share.. kind regards,

hi

I applied for PR in 2003. They started processing my application in July 2003. Now I got my medicals in Aug 2008, which I got done within 5 days of getting the letter. Then the office asked me for my passports after one and a half months. But it is 3 months now and the passports are not back yet along with the visas. Yes, I forgot to add that I did not have an AEO....

I applied in May 2005 and got my AOR in June. I had no AEO and got no response from CHC Singapore either. Two folks on Trackitt.com who had applied in Nov. 2004 received their medical request, completed and sent back to the CHC. Shortly after that another folk on Trackitt sent an inquiry and received the message I shared with you: the current IA is 4 1/2 years.

We do hope that this is only for the time being and in 2009 things will get done faster.
