I and my wife landed 46 days ago, when I check the application processing time here : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/ for new PR card application, it says 40 days. I wonder why we didn't receive it yet. How long does it take for them to mail it ? Is it possible to track that mail ?

Thanks in advnace

If you are that concerned raise a case specific enquiry but the 40 days is not guaranteed and you are only 6 days over https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx?_ga=1.100824002.239329535.1470337497

The time period stated on the website is just a guide and not fixed. I got mine after 80 days last year while others received theirs after 90 days. There is no way to track the progress but you can call CBSA to make enquiries.

If we assume that it was processed exactly on 40 days (in my case) how long does it take for the mail to get here ?

It's process time - which obviously doesn't include mailing. You need to allow 1-2 weeks for mailing (maybe even 3 weeks if you live in a remote location)

just call the cic call centre 1-888-242-2100 and speak to agent and ask for updates.
(try early morning as lines get very busy)

Thanks for the advice. I called them in the morning and they told me it's already been processed and mailed on June 29th.

It's strange that they mail it with a regular mail service, I checked with Canada Post and they told me it takes 2 weeks to get to Vancouver.

And 2 weeks means 14 BUSINESS days, which is very long (it means it takes about 3 weeks!) Is that true ?
