i feel like I am losing my mind during this final wait ...

So many applicants in Vancouver office seem to be getting invite a few weeks after DM...

just feeling exhausted from this whole process.

By any chance, did you request services in French?

I was in MTL before, so my application was in French. However, all the communications I have received since my file was transferred to Surrey have been in English.

Now I worry they might be delaying oath because they do not do French ceremonies often hehe.

Yes, I did and this was probably a big mistake.

I applied for urgent scheduling on Wednesday May 18th. The next day they confirmed they had accepted the request and asked me to specify if I wanted to wait for a ceremony in French (the answer is, of course "I dont give a @#$@#$ about the language of the ceremony, i've been waiting for 32 months..."). My tracker updated this Wednesday May 25th, for a ceremony 2 weeks later.

Thank you. I am not not out of the woods yet... I need to travel by the 26th of june and with current delays for citizenship certificates and passports, it is going to be super tight...

Depends on where you are in terms of processing. I also sent a webform at the same time. I honestly do not know if they reacted to the webform or my email. I highlighted the fact that I am a 2019 applicant and practically begged for mercy.

Thank you for the response. I’m waiting for oath I guess as I already took the test online after 7months of waiting. But I can’t complain against your application as I just applied last April 2021. I still have a long wait ahead of me.

(yeah, i got dealt one of the crappiest hands ever with my citizenship application, you would not believe the whole detailed timeline and the back-and-forths with IRCC... totally lost any sense of satisfaction with this milestone).

Not necessarily...

If there is one thing we've learned with IRCC, is that they care significantly more about newer applications to make stats look better. I do not think (and i sincerely hope) that you will not wait very long for oath.

Also, their capacity to invite applicants has significantly increase since the end of 2021, so hopefully applicants will not have to wait that long in general.

Hi all,
Any one has an idea on the wait times between taking the test and the oath ceremony? I took the test last weekend on March 19th.

Update: Did my Oath swearing on Tuesday June 14th. Yay!
