Just wanted to update you guys I called today not that i expected any news but just to see if any movement at all on the file. call center CSR said well we are still doing BC and there is nothing new to report. One piece of info which might be a news to some is the 9 month time frame cic has on their website after first stage approval. CSR told me it only applies to files which were finalized at vegreville and since some of us got AIP through local office we should forget about 9 months and wait as long as we can.

Sadly, though, even those 9 months appear to be just a random number.

I called today and I they put on hold. Eventually the line was disconnected. I will try again tomorrow.

Tired,

thank you very much for your reply. I'm currently waiting for the FOSS notes to arrive (can't remember the date they were requested). And I have requested information directly from CSIS about the status of the checks, but still waiting for that as well.

TO all,

how do you manage not to go completely nuts? I mean, I can't take any courses at uni, meaning I'm slaving away at some random labour job (M.A. in my rear pocket), can't leave the country (at least don't want to risk anything now).... I feel I'm not free any more. Constantly being unable to pursue personal interest and passion doesn't help our relationship either.

going nuts, having cabin fever,
Stethar

I'm not doing it very well. I'm goin nuts too. I can't work. I can't go out the country to visit my parents. It's been so looooooooooooong.

No news yet!!! All I know is my ecas says they received my police clearance on August 19th.
Not going to be able to be on this site much as I have started school. All the Best!!!

Absolutely nothing going on here either.
On the bright side, I went surfing in Tofino last week. 33C sunshine, 13C water, lots and lots of waves...

1. I tried to change the address myself, 2 weeks ago, I submitted the update and the address didnt change

2. tried to get through to CIC call center everyday, finally got to a live person, the not so smart person on the other end said he will change it manually, and had no clue why it changed, 3 days now my address on ecas is still the wrong one :-\

I don't mind a glitch or some sort, but I hope they didn't update my file with someone elses form. If we got AIP and waiting 2nd stage the file is at Vergeville not my local office right? is the Ottawa office suppose to be very very slow?
