I know it's been a long wait for all of us. Let's hope they will work in our applications soon. ;)

You should order your FOSS to see what work isbeen done in your file .

yeah, but even if I know what their working on won't make it go any faster hehe....

Hi everyone!

So sorry to hear about your long waits - I'm getting so nervous and I only just applied in July 2011 :(

I was reading through your thread and noticed that people mentioned that they are unable to work. This made me really scared!

I was under the assumption that you could work under implied status after you got AIP - can someone please clarify this for me? ???

Also, what are FOSS notes?

Thanks so much!

Yes you can work after AIP. You can apply for work permit after AIP (If you didn't apply already when you sent your application).

FOSS stands for Field Operations Support System. The FOSS database is a central repository of information on all persons who have been, may be or are wanted to be seen by Immigration staff. FOSS is the main operational support system for immigration operations in Canada. The system is comprised of numerous components including query functions, status entry, document creation, refugee monitoring, case processing support, medical profiles, registry functions, client name and address, statistical functions, airport primary inspection line functions, access and security, appeals and litigation, quality assurance and records maintenance. FOSS also provides query capabilities for lost, stolen and fraudulent documents. Al

Have you get your FOSS already? If so, do you mind sharing some of your notes?

Have not had updated FOSS since March , to be honest , I am not interested in ordering them anymore, I am waiting for Privacy act papers from CBSA , they have my file now , not immigration ! So will have more info once I receive P/A from CBSA. They could take anywhere from 30 days to 60 , as there are many departments in CBSA .

I guess CBSA are looking at ways to remove me legally .

Why do you think so? Have they contacted you? Did CIC tell you that your file is with CBSA?

Yes I called the local CIC where my file was, and they told me they were waiting to here from CBSA still, but Ive found out from MP he spoke with Ottawa , they told him CBSA has control over my file now . I spoke with CBSA and they are preparing notes . that was 1 month ago.

Oh wow!! That's unusual. I hope you get the notes soon and most important your landing date soon.

Cheer up!!! You are not alone. We can give each each other emotional support and maybe time would pass faster.

Good luck to all of us!!! ;)

OMG. I'm so sorry for you. :( >:(
I hope you will be able to have some sort of "normal" life again soon, not being at the mercy of some government agency.

Thanks, I doubt there will be a ' landing date ' for me , Im just waiting here to see what happens, will be interesting to say the least ! Ive read that once CSIS has findings which concern CBSA they do not pass it back to CIC , instead CSIS send their findings to CBSA, who then work on having you removed unless you are from a Country which you have fled .

No appeal either ! Maybe I will still be here in 2-3 years time with the slowness of these agency's, ugh ..not complaining though , got to look on the bright side of life :) Hope im like a thorn in their side ;D

My E'cas still says the same, in process. However, it does say ' medical results received ' what happens when my meds expire again ? will I have to re-do them , seem as though E'cas says they are received ?

I would wait to re-do them until they ask you. I wish you all the best and I really hope you get a landing date. ;)

just when you believe you can't take it anymore, a light at the end of the tunnel will appear.

Thank you, yes, YOU, so much for being here in the forum, I wouldn't have made it without you.

Hi guys! I'd like to join you here. I am in the same situation like you are. I received AIP letter on April 2011 and than applied for OWP, which I have received recently. And that's all (((. Just waiting. I didn't order FOSS notes, but I think about it.
And I have a question. Does anybody know which is my local office? I live in Mississauga. And what is waiting time in it?
Thaks ))
