So I checked my husband's ecas today and now there is a new section for PR.
It says they received his PR Application on January 31, 2016 - not sure how this is possible because he landed November 2, 2015 - that means it took 3 months for his landed paperwork to make it anywhere.
Then the next line is Processing Application - April 6, 2016

So basically more than 5 months have passed since he has landed and they are still processing his PR Card. This is shocking.

I am born and raised Canadian and just disappointed in how long it takes to get his PR Card.

He has his SIN, Health card - and started working a permanent full time position but still not PR card. Good grief!

Fingers crossed we see the card soon. Good luck everyone.

Thank you for sharing this info! My husband landed in Sept. and still does not have his card. I tried to log in with my husband's info but it didn't show up. What have you used?

I used the Client ID number - it is the same one that I was using for ecas...

So frustrating. I am glad I am not alone though :)

Because it has been more than 180 days since your hubby last landed so ECAS has removed the PR application status.
Did you call CIC and ask them to send a note to production team? I think they will help because it's been too many days.

That's exactly 54 days! Congrats to you and your wife.

Quick question, is there any action you've taken after landing to get the PR card or just waiting?

Thanks. No, I haven't done anything after landing. I have called CIC, 3 days before we received PR card. They told most likely we will receive our PR card by end of April. I asked her if she call pulled of my file and tell me the status as we are moving to a different address by end of the month. She said she can't access our file until the processing time (54 days) + 3 week for delay period over. We are lucky that we got it on time.

I should probably mention one things, I have sent new photo according to CIC requirement (50 mm x 70 mm) when CIC asked for passport request although they haven't ask me to send any photos. But I sent it anyways as I know they asked lot of people to submit new photos for PR card. CIC does not accept more than 6 months old photo or smaller size photo (initially sent for PR application) for PR card. That might helped us to get the PR card within 2 months.

Hopefully, you will get your card soon. Good luck.

Mine doesn't

My ECAS was never showing PR card status. I believe it's only if you apply for renewal or replacement.

Hi All,

I have completed landing on April 7 and waiting for PR card.....cheer!!!

Dear Friends,

I had got a new photograph request for my wife's PR Card a couple of months back. Unfortunately, the photo that was sent to CIC did not match their specification (there was a mistake from our side) and thus CIC returned the application back to us. As my wife is not in Canada, I am wondering whether she can send a soft copy of her photo to me (as per the right specification) and I take it to a professional photo studio and get it printed as per photo specification and then send it to CIC. I am asking this question, as the photo specification requirement that was mentioned by CIC highlighted the fact that the photographs needs to be original and should not be taken from an existing photograph. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks,

Thanks,

The name and address of the photographer AND the date the photo was taken, have to be written at the back of one of the two photos that you have to send to CIC.
I do not think if you take a soft image, anyone could write the date on when the photo was TAKEN or the image captured. It is not about when the photo was printed.

So, you could ask your wife to go to a photographer, wherever she is residing right now, and take the specification instruction page (available at CIC website) with her. Ask the photographer to capture and print the image and write the name and address and date.

Yes, the photo can be taken outside Canada. CIC does not require the image to be taken inside Canada. They just want the date, and to confirm that, they need photographer's name and address.

I suggest you immediately call CIC call centre and explain your case. The same happened with my daughter's PR Card. After the case started to appear on ECAS, the first line was like your husband's. The second line said the decision was made. We received her card within a week of "decision made" status. Her card took 4 months to arrive. During this time, I called CIC Call Centre every Friday (after the average processing time elapsed).

Landed 9th April... Now waiting for card... Any idea when I can get?
