What kind of a problem can there be when applying for citizenship if you leave Canada without a PR card???thomasuk said:I think the best option is to write a letter to CIC given address and request to extend your visit in person. You can mention that you had a serious family situation and you had to leave Canada. Also you can apply for a travel documents in the mean time. Just keep in mind you left Canada without receive your PR card and it may case some problem in future when you will apply for a citizenship. As soon as you comeback to Canada and receive your PR it should be fine. You always have to highlight that you had to leave Canada for an emergency reason. I hope it helps. Thank you.
Just logged on today to my e-CAS, it still shows our landing details and complete.AJ JIPP said:8) Landed July 24th at Pearson Int (YYZ) Toronto, #3 PR Card received in Oct 1st, for a family of 4. Still awaiting #1 PR card.
Good luck to All.
Are you sure you can enter from the US without the PR card? I landed at the Niagara border and have my COPR now but no PR card. If I were to leave Canada, would I be able to re-enter Canada through the US by just using my COPR and passport? Thanks!hseamrit said:Hi,
You can give ur friends address for delivery of ur PR card. Another thing, if u have vakid US visa then u can arrive at some airport near to US-Canada border and re-enter Canada on private vehicle (rent one or if any of ur friend can drive u to Canada) by showing ur passpprt n COPR.. in this case u don't need ur PR card...
Hope this helps

Hello Future Canadians, I am a single applicant, for seniors and for those who have landed already, I plan to land in Toronto (from Dubai), and intend for 1 week stay to finish immigration landing formalities then go to New York for 1 week vacation (I already have US multiple entry visit visa), then head back to Dubai.
I know it is a challenge to leave Canada without the Permanent Resident Card which could take up to 3 months; hence, I have a cousin in Edmonton, is it fine to have PR card addressed to them even though my point of entry is Toronto? I know these cities are very far apart.
Please share your views. Thanks in advance.
