Hi Khaanza,

You got a phone call and not a letter? Did they give you an appointment or did you just show up to their office? Did you submit anything else? I noticed that the photographs for PR card application have a different specification than the ones we sent out with our PR applications.

Also, did you call them prior to getting the call?

Hi, I have a similar issue. Landed in April, but haven't received my card yet. Have been informed by CIC that my photos were not within specs, so had to re-take them IN Canada. However, I left Canada in the meantime for personal reasons (I intend to come back by the end of the year). My application for PR card will be apparently withdrawn in January if I dont do the photos.
Is it going to be difficult to re-apply for a PR card if I dont come back in Canada in time?

How did CIC inform you ( by telephone or by letter ) and if there is any deadline for submitting the photographs.

Is it possible to appoint a representative and submit photographs through the appointed representative.

As I mentioned earlier.. read the below comments, my point was CIC might have been tracking people's travel IN and OUT of Canada(it was my point of view regarding the news I pasted earlier, I cannot do anything if you could find only miss-representation of data in the whole news )

I just wanted to pass the information I found on the news, recently few people are facing the same situation as he is in.. may be due to cic changed the policy or they started tracking the people's travels IN and OUT of Canada to make sure that people are living in the Address mentioned in the time of landing(address where to send the PR card) until they receiving the PR card atleast.

I have been living in my current address for 3 yrs and I have been working and working in Canada..
I just feel it's unfair to wait that long...especially when you need to leave the country at this time and the card is not here yet..

I am struggling...I haven't received my pr card since I landed on Apr 3,2014. I was told my case is 'under verification.' Don't know how long that's gonna take. I had my flight booked for Aug 6...I don't know what to say...God, help me~! :'(

My son followed up with CIC today and was informed by the officer ( he was put on hold for long15 minutes ) that verification process has been completed and PR CARDS should reach on our address within four weeks.

Would strongly suggest to all friends having file under varification to keep chasing CIC.

4 weeks are for postage duration or cards are still not printed? Did CIC gave ur cards to post for delivery?

I would suggest to follow the processing time on their website, which is 28 calendar days I believe. Also keep an eye on the tracking sheet for all applicants. You should only contact them when applicants land in July start to receive their cards but not you.
I think they are still processing PR card for people who landed in June. I just got mine a week ago and I landed the first week of June.

1) When I check my ecas. I see two address. One "Current home Address", this is my canadian address, and two "Current mailing address", this is still showing my Indian address. Not sure if this is the way it is or it is a mistake by immigration officer upon landing. I am just worried that they will not attempt to mail my PR card, as my mailing address is showing my Indian address.

2) Is there a way to check the status of my PR card ?

If you had provided a Canadian address while landing, your PR card will be mailed there. ECAS is not always updated quickly.

The only way to check is on ECAS. A new window for PR card is available. But this doesn't show up for everyone. After enough days have passed (processing time as per website) you can also call them on their help line to check on status.

I submitted it roughly June 25, so it still took about a month after resubmitting it. The overrall process took 5 months!!!

I landed 10th May 2014, still did not receive PR card.

my ecas says processing for PR started 21st July....not sure when will I receive it.....

Anyone still waiting who landed in April, may?
