Hi,

I got a letter from CIC today in mail saying that the PR card cannot be issued because the Photograph does not meet the required specifications.

Can anyone let me know if I submit the photos tomorrow, how long will the process take?
Will I have to wait for another 94 days?

Thanks!

Hey Rawfie, yes we gotta keep hope for this month to get our cards!!
I am aware we can come back through a land border with no card but
my country is not a Visa exempt country to the US so il have to get a US visa
I called the US embassy and they told me I need my Canadian PR card to be
able apply for the US travel Visa.
Guess I gotta wait!
If anyone here got their US travel Visa without the
Canadian PR card let me know please.
No you dont need a canadian PR card to get a us visa, all you need is your current national passport

Don't worry bro, I don't think they're gonna make you wait that long again.

It doesn't make sense. If they want you to wait 94 days, they would reject the whole PR application.

Therefore, don't worry :D :D :D

At least, now we know they're working on mid March PR application

He still needs to prove valid status in Canada. That is, if he can't prove he is in Canada legally, then he would be not be admissible to the US. To prove his legal status, the embassy asks for PR card which is the legitimate document for that purpose. Whether the accept COPR or an alternative document I don't know.

I got US Visa (B1/B2) without my PR card. When I went for the Interview, they asked my PR card and I told them I am yet to receive my PR card and I have given my COPR document and they accepted and issued me the visa as well.

Me and my wife applied for US visa two weeks back and was interviewed on last wednesday. Our Visa was approved and we received our passports yesterday.
You do not require PR card for this visa as we are still to get our PR cards as well but, they check your CPR which is a proof of your immigration status in Canada. Our US visa is B1/B2 though.
Hope that helps!
Cheers!

COPR works perfect, even a tourist visa or work permit, no need of PR card

We received your application for a permanent resident card on March 1, 2014.

We started processing your application on May 26, 2014.

This is how the ECAS will be.

I got my PR card on June 1st,2014.

So you can expect to get it a week after they start processing it.

Good luck all
