So ecas now has two sections - one for my CEC application and one for the PR card. The one for the PR card shows complete with the following detail: -

Permanent Resident Card
We received your application for a permanent resident card on December 3, 2013.

We started processing your application on January 24, 2014.

Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on January 28, 2014. Your Permanent resident card will be mailed to you or if quality assurance is required, made available for you to pick up at a CIC office.

I tried to check my ecas for PR card info but all it says is that I became a permanent resident on dec 4th. i called cic friday they said the card is in last stage of process which i guess is printing and they cant tell me how much time will it take for them to mail it out. jsm please keep us posted as I landed one day after you so we should get the cards around the same time

So I called CIC this morning just to check and they told me the card was dispatched on the 28th.

I've just checked my mailbox and it's arrived! So it was sent on the 28th and it arrived with me on the 2nd.

It's obviously pretty cool but doesn't justify the wait

Anyone applied Travel Document in India and received it?

I applied for that and received it in a week. carry your tax receipt of canada or check VFS India website. But the whole process was very easy.

Where can you see that on ECAS?

I am only able to see the PR application which says complete, nothing is mentioned regarding my PR Card. Please advise.

that's not usual alak. most of us cant see any updates on pr card in ecas. you can always cic to ask the progress on your Pr card

I called CIC couple of days back. The lady was not ready to check my specific application, instead kept telling me to check the processing time in the website. She told me that current processing time is 61 days to start processing the application + ~10 extra days to print and mail the card. In total 71 days !

I also asked why cant I see the status in ECAS. She said new PR card applications are usually not updated in ECAS. Usual CIC stuff!

Hi, me & my wife received our pr cards on 9/1, landed on 1/11/13 , but we have not received our son's(8 months old) card , we called cic on 16/1, using16139444000 number, ther agent informed us my son's card had not yet begun processing ! The agent's knew we were calling from outside Canada & asked us if our son was with us ? They did not tell us when the card would be processed , but asked to call in a week or so.

Can anyone share some info on the above delay.

We called CIC yesterday 12/2/14, they informed us that our son's PR cards has been sent for processing, hoping to receive it in a weeks time.
