Hi all. I have been requested to submit new photos. But I am outside Canada. Can I take photo outside, mail it to a friend in Canada who can send to CIC? Would the foreign stamp cause a problem? also the photos have to be taken after CIC notice. I mean photos taken two months ago might get rejected? Thanks

Today marks 41 days. When I landed, the timeline showed 41 days for new PR card. I still did not receive my card. Do I need to be worried? Is there a way I can track?

The address notification link below is no longer working. On entering UCI info, it says data not found. Is there any other way to contact CIC to notify address besides using Fax? A PR Card call center 1-800-255-4541 is provided but this works only if calling from within Canada. Please advise

Hi Barca,

There is no problem there.....you can either courier directly to Sydney using FedEx or DHL....but if you choose this route please use the PHYSICAL address given on the webisite OR. you could send them to your friend in Canada, who can then send them in using regular, ordinary mail to the P.O.Box address.

As long as your photos are less than 6 months, they are still ok.

A number of people on this forum couriered directly from overseas and still they got their PR at last.

You definitely need to get in touch with CIC via phone to check on why you have not yet received. Since the 41 days have passed, they are able to track and see why and let you know.

If you are outside Canada, kindly use 001 613 944 4000 then choose the following options 1111141....and you will speak to an agent. If you are inside Canada, PresCot above just gave the phone number....not sure if there are options missing for you to reach the agents ?

Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate it. Do you know what is the best option to mail to pobox inside Canada. For example, Xpresspost of Canada post will do fast and reliable. I would like the photos get delivered as soon as possible

Hi,

I have a problem. We landed on Oct 4th and i am in Montreal. They seem to have sent a request for photos on Nov 8th. I just happened to see the mail. The problem is, my family (wife and two kids) are back in India. Now since they have requested new photos? How do i get them? I have mine taken here locally. What i am planning to do is ask wife and kids to take a photo at the local shop and send it by mail. Is it possible to take a printout in the required format here from an JPG file (photo file)? If not, can they send the photos directly from my home country? Or should they send it to me and then i retransmit the photos to the Sydney office. Since we have already lost 15 days by not looking into the mail, we have only 45 days from now.

HOPING to get some suggestions.

Send the photo specification by email to your wife and she also has to get one photo backside stamped by studio address and date etc.
Next tell her to courier to you. Then send it to IRCC by courier like Canada xpresspost. Please do not use Canada post xpresspost for P.O box delivery.

Its better if you send all the photos from here in Canada to IRCC.

I read your posts and understand you are currently outside of Canada. In this case send your photos to your friend and if in the letter they have stated a P.O Box address do not send it across by Xpress post of Canada post since I had a recent incident wherein I was given the P.o box address and to reach there quick I used Xpress post and after a month when I called the IRCC call center they told me that it is not received .
I was given this address
Courier address
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2
So I again submitted the photos by Xpress post to this address and got my PR card in 3 weeks.
Also mention your IRCC Application number given in the letter on the outer envelope and get your photos removed as per specifications.

Thanks for this great info. Actually we have not received a letter about photos. So we called ircc about PR card status and they emailed requesting photos. In email, the pobox address was only provided. So as you suggested I ask my friend to mail by xpresspost to the physical address you mentioned. Is this another address for case processing center? and by ircc application number, you mean the same app number for pr application?
