Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Because people in ICBC needs to see the PR card to approve your BC service card (license + bc health).

To focus on something else a minute... why can't you get a healthcare card? You're eligible for a card 3 months after arrival in B.C. If you don't apply and start paying (or your employer starts paying) they can back date the payments to when you were eligible if you get a jobsworth on your case. I had one whilst I had my working holiday visa.

Just a quick question while I'm on hold to CIC, do you have to do anything after you land or just wait for your card?

I'm worrying that there's something I should have done after I landed.

Just called cic .. They did send my PRC for printing on January 25th but they made mistake on my card so they send it for re printing did anyone know when I should expect my PRC ?

I followed what you said and I got the information that they have sent me a Photograph request. The call center agent said that the letter might take time to get to me so, he e-mailed me the instructions. It has a IMM5455 E form and three addresses.

Can someone confirm with me as to how many photos are needed to be sent to them and the address where to send them to?
I don't want to wait for the letter and then again wait for my Card's processing.

2 Photos ( Make sure you follow new photo specifications updated on CIC website ) with a Supplementary Identification form (IMM 5455) to the following address:

Case Processing Centre -
Permanent Residence Card
P.O. Box 4500
Sydney, Nova Scotia
B1P 6L1


Just call them again to confirm above address.

I got very little information from calling. At the moment there's no note that I need to resubmit new photos (?)

I was told that something that could slow the process down is that there's no address on file for my daughter. Odd, because they managed to get her COPR to our mailbox just fine...

As per CIC it can take up to 6 months but by looking at other members , you can expect in 2 weeks from the day they receive your photos,but again no guarantee. After sending your please call them again to make sure they have received it and accepted.
