Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Apparently, June 24th. So it took almost 3 weeks to get to me in the mail if you can believe that.

If you don't mind me asking, whereabouts are you?

I live in Toronto and my card is mailed out last Friday.
I have travel plans this month end

Anyway, just happy I received it now. Hopefully I will have Citizenship before needing another card...

It seems that CIC often sits on documents for a while before posting them...

It took like 3 weeks for mine to change to "Complete" with landing info. But back then there was a glitch in their system, and some landed people even had their status reversed back to "Decision Made". It should be a lot faster now.

Not that slow

It seems that CIC often sits on documents for a while before posting them...

The call centre told me it was "mailed" 24th of June...but we all know how much we can trust the call centre...

1. You can authorize your son on your behalf to know the status on your application.

2. I am not sure if appointing lawyer for PR card after all of your PR application is completed is a good idea.

From what I have seen in this forum, many ppl have received their PR cards with some delay due to verification. But there is no need to worry.
I have also not received my card so far! I keep calling CIC to know the status and address on file.

Better to confirm your address on your file just in case. I heard they messed up the address of some people.

Thanks for your valuable advise on my case. In fact our lawyer whom we had earlier appointed for the handling of our immigration visa advised me the same and asked me to wait until end July as PR in some cases are delayed due to varification .
In fact my son managed to speak to CIC office for his PR Card and was asked to followup after 4 weeks. The officer he spoke to did confirm the mailing address he had on the file which was correct.

I notice that in some cases CIC ask the candidate to be present personally to receive PR and my question is that if such situation arises, can i appoint my son or lawyer to collect PR Card on my behalf.

For Initial PR cards, CIC will mail the card and not ask you to pick the card.

122 days of wait came to an end.. Finally received my PR Card today!! just few days before my travel..yippeee on cloud nine ;D 8)
