Hi All, I just wanted to know if anybody has/had gone through this similar situation.I applied for PR under Canadian Experience class on May 05, 2014, and CIC asked me to do the medical on October 23, 2015. Now, it has been 8 months since i did my medical and have not heard anything from CIC. I just see 'Medical results have been received' application status from 8 months. Is anybody know why would it take this long time ? I know some people who got their PPR request after some weeks of their medical.

Did you apply for GCMS notes to see what the delay may possibly be? If you are in Canada you may contact your local MP to see the current status in your application. Be proactive with your file, don't just sit around wondering. You have been waiting far too long. All the best.
Hi kadiemc82, Thanks for your suggestions. I am currently in Canada on a foreign work permit. Can i apply for GCMS notes because I'm not a citizen or permanent resident yet ?
Actually, I contacted CIC few weeks ago and they said "the background checks are going on We will let you know if anything required". Should I still be applying for GCMS notes ?

I just went to the MP office.It was close to my home. They said they gonna send an enquiry to find out. I wil apply for gcms if i hear the same answer. Thanks guys for suggestions.
