I have got PPR2 on 3 May 2012

After a long long long wait of 50 days finally I have got my passports back with VISA
The visa sticker is new one, different from the visa sticker issed 3 to 4 months ago. Maybe due to this change they took a long time to return the passports. ;D ;D

Anyone have idea how long the background check takes from Pakistan, i contacted my MP today, they said VO is waiting for my background check which they requested to Pakistan in December 2011. Still they didn't hear anything on my background check. Anyone in this forum faced the same scenario please share your timeline. I will really appreciate your input.

Ask me... I waited for 6 months to get my PPR1. When ever i emailed them they used to tell me that my BG checks are going on. I used to email them every month and in last month they told me that they have sent query to the partner agency responsible for BG checks.
So i would ask you to email them after every 3 weeks. BG checks results are not in the hands of CIC, they are dependent on security agencies.

Medical results have been received.

Pls tell me the time limit to finalize my case?
i have submitted my passport with medical as per demand by cic. my status changed to DM as on 25th june 2012.

Ask me... I waited for 6 months to get my PPR1. When ever i emailed them they used to tell me that my BG checks are going on. I used to email them every month and in last month they told me that they have sent query to the partner agency responsible for BG checks.
So i would ask you to email them after every 3 weeks. BG checks results are not in the hands of CIC, they are dependent on security agencies.

Thanks for reply Asifov, i really appreciate that. my file is in BG checks since december and they are still going on... makes me crazy... that means it is already been 7 months so far.. by the way what is your contry of origin? how long BG checks took for you? did you applied individually or with family. I heard with family applications like more than adult BG checks takes longer...

Thanks bro, but it looks like its not in CSIS hand either, i approach CIC through MP and they said they have forwarded application to internation agencies responsible for BG checks now they are wating for the response..
