Hi Anabelle,
We had our medical last Dec18 but results were forwarded last Jan13. I didn't include my email address in the application form so I guess I will just have to wait for the letter. It's a real test of patience now :)
Are you on family stream too?
Hi Tsarie,

You may be receiving your letter by 1st or 2nd wk of April. Just Pray! God is good! :)
Yes. I'm on family stream too.

Hi, Anabelle. My husband and I are going to attend the COA seminar on March 10. I don't think it's required but we might as well attend it. It's free, anyway.

I'm not sure about the PDOS. That one costs P400 per person. Some say it's required.

Tickets are more expensive after March 21, that's why we were forced to buy the March 20 tickets. The
difference is about $800 for the 4 of us.

See you in Winnipeg! :D

Hi, tsarie. Yes, our ECAS status changed from In Process to Decision Made 14 days after we sent our passports to the embassy. The following day after the status was changed, we received our passports.

Good luck to you and your family. ;)

May I ask how much does the plane ticket costs when you're going to Winnipeg, Canada?

I'm gonna save money now (while I'm still working) while I wait for the passport request and eventually my visa (assuming I don't get denied).

I'm hoping I'll be flying over there mid / late this year.

Hi Bluetulip,

I will be attending too on COA seminar on March 10. But i don' t know how to get there..maybe you could help me? I'll just commute. I'm coming from Las Piñas.

For PDOS - yes..it's required...airport willcheck the PDOS stamp before they allow us to travel. I'm on schedule this coming friday..Feb19.

I can't leave earlier as my resignation effectivity date is on April 8..so I booked ticket on April 27 and yes it costs more Php37100 + Php1620 Tax. But its a connecting flight Manila-HK-Vancouver-Winnepeg. Tiring! huh! :p

Hi, Anabelle. If you're commuting to the COA seminar venue, you might want to try riding the MRT from Pasay. Get off at Ayala station and take a taxi from there to the Citibank Tower on Paseo de Roxas. It'll take a maximum of 10 minutes from Ayala station to the venue by taxi.

See you there! ;D

Hi, Harry_Tang. We're still in the Philippines. We're leaving for Winnipeg on March 20. How about you?
I already had my medical last Feb 2 at Nationwide so right now I'm on a "stand-by mode".

Hopefully there will be no problem with the result of my medical.

My relatives told me that it's winter (-10°C up to -20°C) right now in their place (Winnipeg) so it will be much better if I arrived there during the summer (around July I think) and I'm guessing if all goes according to plan ("optimistic"), I'll ge getting my VISA around June.

I think 4 months (from the time I had my medical) is the average time it takes the embassy to grant VISA to the applicant/s. How long did it took before you and your family received your visas after you had your medicals?

PS: HAPPY TRIP & VON VOYAGE COME MARCH 20!!!
