if your case is being processed in buffalo, i guess you are still wthin the normal waiting period..i know someone who received ppr 10 months after the medical examination...alainski said:hello everyone. im new here and have lots of questions, hope you could help me...
Buffalo received my application package 5th oct 2010. the medical request came 2nd week of april 2011. but since then i havent heard anything yet. it has been almost 10 months since buffalo received my application. when i go online and check ecas, it only states that the visa office had received my application. is my application processing time in the right time?
Second, i read in other forums that paying rprf even without the request from vo would somewhat speed up the processing. i already ordered from cic the receipt and got it in the mail today. so what do you think?
Thank you very much in advance to those who can help me with my questions...
it takes about 3-5 months after medical exam for the PPR to arrive expecially now that Buffalo's processing time increased. i don't know for sure if paying the RPRF even before they ask you to do it will speed up the process. in our case, that's what we did. at least sending the RPRF check gave me the excuse to send a case specific enquiry, told them i just need to confirm if they already put the RPRF check on our file. pretty sneaky but at least i got an update.alainski said:hello everyone. im new here and have lots of questions, hope you could help me...

I received IA on 1st April 2011, and received receipt for RPRF last week, but no PPR....
probably not advisable to send passports without them requesting it, they will just send it back to you. passports as we all know are quite important pieces of identification so I would not risk sending it via courier or mail unless it is necessary. i've heard of people losing their passports while in transit.ae03yy said:hi everyone,
