As you probably heard the news, the US gov just shut down. Will this affect crossing the border during landing? God, I hope not!

at this stage , it matter of time to get Passport back or any rejections cases.

which rejection cases are u talking about????????? I doubt if they will reject cases after making a decision, seniors correct me pls if I am wrong

For everyone's reference my passport reached ottawa on Sep5th, and my tracker got activated on Sep 30th . Got my passport yesterday Oct 1st. And Today is my birthday!

yes. Passport request from and after 2 days eCas made as Decision Made.
curious to know below cases after passport request.
in this scenarios , is there any rejections ?
at what stage Interview will be waived ?

The news statements all had it as, "Border crossings will not be shut down and it will work as normal..." ...It is in all the news published...
But you never know...

Does any of you here guys who went to the boarder who have encountered of unaccommodating boarder officer? Just arrived home from carway for my exit but the officer told me to do it in calgary. Does the notice of refusal letter that the US boarder gve to us will affect our record for future entry to the US and other countries?

The remarks on the letter is this

-the subjects has no intentions of entering in the US right now and are just going to get canadian immigration benefits-

Oh...thats so sad... I have heard officers telling them about the option in Calgary and being a bit non-friendly...but didnt hear anything like sending back.... Sorry for you...

The Borderservices will be working as usual...

If they Shutdown....with in 24hrs...US people will occupy CANADA, and there will be 2 mexico's (North Mexico and South Mexico)

ujbaby- Looking at the trend, I think you will have your tracker activated by today or tomorrow.
