I think you should send an email to cpp-o mentioning that your FSW's application:s decision is made now and you want to withdraw the application...cuz if they start processing your application then you might loose your $!!

Dear shyshy

If u get Filenumber for CEC, your money is not refunded and I wouldn't recommend you to withdraw until you FSW is complete.

If you didn't received any filenumber in CEC then you can take a chance to withdraw your file ..

Mine was also same situation , FSW was no updates but CEC got DM and then visa office cancelled my FSW.

cic recived my passport on aug 7th 2013
on aug 14th they sent me an email requesting photos ( they didn't ask for photos in PPR )
cic received the photos on aug 16th
question is how long for visa stamp on passports after cic received photos ???
any one have been in same situation ??

I got the photos request with the PPR only.. Seems they might have missed the same in the email sent to you...

The timing for visa stamping varies from 2 weeks to 2 months also.. hope for the best...

yea they forgot for sure and made me waste time ..hope pp comes with a visa stamped soon !!

Ok thanks for the information. I already got a file number for my CEC application though, but oh well.

So just to clarify, its the visa office that will cancel the CEC application once a visa is issued on my FSW. or will i be the one to call the visa office to withdraw my CEC application?

I think they send a standard template. It is weired that they erased that section.

Yea is weird ...I checked the email several times and there isn't any photo requested on it
But anyway photos are sent and received ,..just waiting now

A few days after landing the status changes to 'Complete'
And a new line is added to the details.
'You entered Canada at the ........ office on ..../../.. and became a Permanent Resident.'

alexprite ..i am still waiting they received my passports same day as yours....
and answering your question ..they says if ur application is approved we sent the instructions to finalize your process (PPR) so dont worry our applications are aprroved. !!
