Congrats kingofqueens and hopeinshahallah

Mine passport was received on 27th June, so hopefully I can expect it in next week.

Please post about your landing details.

I sent my passport on July 4th, and it has been delivered to CIC, ottawa today (July 5th). It looks like I dint ask for the signature on delivery. Do you get a confirmation from CIC that they have received the passport or does it get notified in ECAS? Did you get signatures on delivery?

Thanks

Did you ask for the acknowledgement or it came by default?

Ok CIC. I asked for 1..so you are giving us 2 passports back? Next time, i will ask for 0..perhaps then we will get 4 in one day?? From 39 days to 10 days..is pretty good improvement considering they are on strike.

Congrats King & Sidh. You guys enjoy the weekend.

Certainly, its a matter of serious concern. But guys - The 15 day time limit, thats a little odd for CIC. Not saying that CIC acts normal...infact it always acts odd! But, usually CIC gives 30-90 days in most document requests.

Secondly, did you xpress post it? Could you check from the tracker who received it?

i sent it through DHL Singapore, they received it the following day. The problem is why they did not forward it to the CIC? Can i pull out my passport?

You sent your passport from Singapore to which CIC office? Cpp-Ottawa?

And it reached Ottawa the following day? How did you learn that it received the following day?

Xpresspost acknowledgement is by default.

hello,

I received my passport last week, and I have one question for you guys:

My spouse is back home and she won't be able to land until dec. I was wondering if I as the principal applicant can land without her (I am in Canada)? Is it necessary that we land together?

thoughts/ideas?

Hi Bhallasorav,

I applied last year August 2012, i was transferred to back home for 5 weeks. Then came back.

You can apply, but your employment letter should be very detailed with the start date, end date, salary, duration, Job duties matching NOC etc., (This is very important my friend, one of my colleagues got rejected before the letter is not suffice).

have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply,

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp#skilled

Also consult a lawyer for free,

Finally got my passport on Friday with COPR papers
