So, I sent an email yesterday to CIC asking about the status of my passport. I was not expecting a reply, but got one from them this evening

Dear Sir/Madam,

We have received your passport and your application is currently in queue to be finalized. Please note that we are unable to estimate the remaining processing time required for your application.

If you have included a prepaid Xpresspost return envelope, your passport will be returned using this envelope. If you did not provide a prepaid Xpresspost return envelope, your passport will be returned to you by regular mail.


No option, but wait and watch Canadapost tracker

Girls/Guys - I am interested to know how many days its taking these days for getting the passports back and the best time to check canadapost website (instead of frequenting it throughout the day...hence this table..Feel free to update it. All the best to the ones for their passport.

I sent my passport on June 3 and received by CIC June 4. Return tracker not activated yet.
It seems waiting time for the last step varies since my friend sent his passport May 29 and got it back yesterday.
I hope ours come back soon!

Finally I got it, Ohh What a relief!!! So relaxed...
I applied with family.

Has anyone's tracker got activated today? Rather, has anyone received their passports today? I'm still waiting !!!

Did you write to them? I wrote to them & was surprised to get an answer from them that my passports are in queue. But then Anamadheya's passports were received on 7th June and he/she got in on Friday 14th (Mine were received on 4th June), so the queue logic was totally incorrect....
Dont know how much more longer....
