Waiting for Passport - Please add your case here

Sincere Thanks to all who responded to 'out for delivery' status note. I will stay calm by assuming it reaches CPP-O based on facts.

1. Today I emailed cpp-o to acknowledge if they received my passport at mail I'd OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca. Is this the one I should email or I should have emailed at CPP-CTP-OTTAWA-TRV-VRT@cic.gc.ca ?


2 . Do we need to email at CPP-CTP-OTTAWA-TRV-VRT@cic.gc.ca to find out return passport status (with stamp) may be after 10-15 days ? Am I right or we can still email at OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca on this also ?

CPP-CTP-OTTAWA-TRV-VRT @ cic.gc.ca is only for Temporary Resident Visas (TRV) only.

OttPilot-Immigration @ cic.gc.ca is the correct ID. All communications regarding PR should go to OttPilot-Immigration @ cic.gc.ca.

Is there a way to get automatic notification when return canadapost xpresspost tracker gets activated?

I.e is there a workaround to manually checking in the canadapost website ?

Anybody whose passport reached Ottawabefore 13th Nov and have not got the passport back. Looks like standard time for getting the passport back is 2 weeks.

Folks who sent thier passport on Nov 20 - Nov 30 ..are getting thier passport.

Any advice here? Should I seek help from MP?

What is the due date under application assignment section (2nd page) of gcms?

I guess the vo will only open your case again on that date. Did you send a friendly reminder to ottpilot-immigration ?

It was sent on 26 Nov for printing queue. But I also noticed it was cancelled due to expiry date on my wife's passport. They realized the mistake and then put a note to re-issue the visa and Dec 1..and it was sent to printing queue....


I was hoping to get it by now. I will again take a look at my GCMS notes..and see if I can find something elsw..its almost a month...

Yes, if you have an Android phone there is a very nice application to automatically track any courier service. I think its called package tracker or something. You can set a tracking schedule etc

I'm thinking of sending one email requesting estimated return time. If I don't get it back before next weekend, I should cancel all my travel plans because cic will most probably be shut down during last 2 weeks of December.

Do you also think it is a good idea to request stamping before next week? Or just ask when it will be done?
