Hi All,
I am waiting for my oath ceremony. My wife and my LPP was updated on Sep 14, 2024. My 12 year old son's LPP and background verification are still in progress. If our LPP and background verification are completed, won't they be completed for my son as well? Do I need to do anything? I will appreciate your feedback please.
Kids application don't see any progress they just complete in the end when parents application completes.

Is that useful if we send email and ask about oath invitations?
Applications often seem to disappear into a black hole with no one reviewing them.
In these situations, calling IRCC, submitting a webform, contacting your MP, or emailing the designated oath address can help get your application back on track.

@forw.jane I live in Saskatchewan. I checked again and the CPC is Sydney.
In 2022 that used to be a black hole processing office. If it goes there people would not see any progress for months. Search the forum for RC8090 you will see the history of it. Hope they are not longer like that.

It's now been two months since my LPP was completed. I feel like asking them for GCMS notes now is a bit pointless (by the time they come back, I'll probably already be scheduled for an oath), but I've heard contacting MPs isn't worth trying until it's been 7 months, or whatever the current processing time is. Just frustrating.
I feel like if I lived somewhere other than the Maritimes it would be done already. It's wild how some people get oath letters a day or two after (or even same day) as LPP is completed, while others have to wait months. If it's a virtual ceremony, why would it matter which office hosts the Zoom call? Why not spread it out?
