Thats really good..congratulations..Do share tips
Thanks Rambo...
As for tips, I am not sure what exactly to share but I will try
Listening: I listened to a lot of IELTS listening practice tests from Youtube and other sites I could find. On the test day, I zeroed in on that recording and tried to pick up the key words. My goodness, I was more attentive that a deer lol. Try to read the sentences before the recording starts.
Reading: I hate reading :-\. But since you aced it, there's nothing really to say other than I had to go over each passage/paragraph about 2-3 times just to be sure I understood it and was selecting the correct answer. Reading is quite tricky.
Writing: since English language is practically all I know and use, I guess it was not so much of a big deal for me. I wrote a lot of essays in school too. What I can say is practice your tenses and subject agreement, use linking words and conjunctions. I also tried to hit the minimum. For task 1, I think I wrote about 158 words and task 2, I wrote about 260 words (yes I counted my words
). Try to pick a side for task 2 but acknowledge the strengths of the opposing side you are not choosing (maybe a paragraph). Summarize in the last two to three sentences, why your stance is better.
Speaking: I was so nervous, not sure why but I tried my very best to answer the questions head on without unnecessarily beating around the bush. I watched a lot of speaking videos on Youtube as well. Don't give one or two word answers. Try to elaborate especially in section 1.
I hope this helps. Good luck when retaking it
