My work permit will expire on Dec. 11, 2021. I applied for an extension via the open policy, however it was refused in September based on the fact that I applied in July and at that time I had more than four months left on my work permit. Is it true that the deadline for extension of work permit is July 27, 2021?
I am secretly hoping it is not true. I am in the express entry pool with 445 points, and desperately waiting for the next CEC draw. While hoping the next CEC draw is low enough for me to get an invite so I can apply for a bridge. The thought of going back home after overcoming so many hurdles is very scary.

Most of 2019 applicants outside Canada received their update form request… but after that nothing from ircc… only a single person received WP… what about others… in the list my name is jagdeep.. application received by ircc 2 Jan 2020 … permanent AOR along with biometrics 16 march 2020 .. biometrics submitted April 2020.. update forms request 3 august 2021 .. submitted in august.., after that nothing … how much time ircc will take to give first stage decision…?

I have updated your details. If you go to Important Links on my sheet, you will see the data for 2019 which IRCC has submitted. there were only 700+ applications received in 2019. There were refusals as well. As committed, IRCC is suppose to finalize applications be Dec 2021, so hopefully everyone will get some kind of update by then.

Submitting GCMS notes would be a good idea, since you have a permanent AOR.

There were refusals as well. As committed, IRCC is suppose to finalize applications be Dec 2021, so hopefully everyone will get some kind of update by then.

Hi I phoned ircc and the agent said there in no problem and recommended me to wait for biometric letter. I am 2019 nov applicant, 2 yrs experience submitted on May 2021, got request of biometric payment on Aug 3th, still waiting the letter. Do you think I'd better wait or apply tr to pr?

Now is your chance to get PR, so I would advise to wait till Dec 2021 before you take any action.
