Hello Everybody,

I desperately your help. Here is my situation: I am a sponsoring my wife (outland) and i live in Quebec. I sent my application the 30 th of August. After a couple of months, i called CIC Mississauga about my application. They told me that the sponsorship got approved and that they sent me a letter on november 10. They gave me my client number and i can log into ecas with my client number but not with the IMM5401. In ecas it says application received and decision made. But i still haven't received the letter they sent. i called them again on the 21st of December and this agent tells me i have to wait 3 months before they can send me another letter. Is there anything a can do to get the letter sooner? I need it badly for the CSQ.

Thanks !!

Sorry for the bad english.

Did you check your email for the letter that they say was sent to you on November 10 ?

As Maple3 mentioned, you might want to check your emails. There might be a possibility that you received an email in your "Spam" folder. It might have got stuck in there. Once they sent me an email (regardig payment) and guess where I got it ... yes, in my spam folder and I noticed it after a couple of days.

It's not in my spams. I paid in full with the IMM5401

look as you can see in E-case that you approved and you know already that you are so why did you get worried u dont even need this letter for nothing and if you interseting in that letter you can go to your mail and ask them about it since immigration told you that sent to you

I did check my mails; even the spams just to make sure. They say they sent it thru Canada Post.

I don't know where you live right now. I believe it takes Canada Post something between 10 to 14 days to get your letter out of Canada and then it will take some time in the country you are residing in to get it to you. In my case, it takes me 3 weeks or so to receive a Regular Mail from Canada.

I live in Quebec. I absolutely need that letter for the provincial application.

Very true, I don't think that letter is that important. Is it that AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) letter that you are waiting for? If they gave you information about your file (like file number, etc.), why are you so worried?

Go to your local post office and ask them if they've received anything. It's happened to me that they've just put something in the wrong pile and forgot to deliver it to me.

Ok then. Hopefully you receive it soon.

yeah i would try the post office too....try to call them again, maybe they can send it by email....or even an MP?!...did u call Immigration Quebec and try to explain them the situation (maybe they could make an exception, maybe u can prove ur approval through other means....)....ooooh that's unlucky....keep us posted et bonne chance!!!

and for those who don't know, the sponsors living in Quebec NEED this letter badly, to get Quebec approval (CSQ) for the applicant; otherwise, if the applicant does not have the CSQ, he/she cannot get the visa (the visa office will wait for this CSQ so the whole process could be delayed)

dont worry i have the same situation. im also waiting from dec last year still no approval letter from them. have you receive anything by this time...thanks best of luck

I was in the same very situation. Was approved on October and never got the letter from Mississauga. My application got transferred to my VO and they immediately asked for my CSQ. Had to wait 2 months for CPC-M to send me another letter, and this time I got it. Note also that I contacted my MP, and he was really helpful in my situation. Keep on calling the call center and contact your MP.
