I am a Home Support Worker employed in Canada. I came to Canada under the "Gaining Experience" Category. I completed my 6 months of full time employment and subsequently submitted my paperwork to receive my permanent Residence approximately 3 months ago. Do anyone know what the current waiting time is to receive an approval in principle letter so I can then apply for a bridging work permit? Any info would be much appreciated!

I can share my timeline so you can get an idea. I didn't apply for BOWP because my current work permit expires in July 2026.

Hello @tetunte When you say AOR Proof of Work - are you referring to the email you received after submitting the documents via webform or there was a separate letter/email sent by IRCC?
For me, I submitted the Work Experience on 16/Oct and got the following email on 17/Oct
"We acknowledge receipt of the documents. Please note, for technical reasons, they may not be visible in your online account. Rest assured that your supporting documents are indeed added and available for officer review."
However, when I login into my IRCC account - I see no change.
Were you asked to do medical or PCC ?
Let me know please as it will be helpful to know.

I submitted my paperwork August 29th; approximately 3 months ago. My submission consisted of a letter detailing my work duties from my employer, a Record of Employment documenting my 6 months issued from service Canada, and the completed Schedule 19b. I submitted it all via the IRCC Webform. I received the AOR about a week later, but have heard nothing since.

Not a job site and certainly no one is going to that length to "sponsor" a total stranger. Research the current immigration programs Canada is offering and if you qualify, you come on your own merit!

the AOR is an acknowledgement that IRCC sends to confirm they received my submission. (It's like an official receipt).
For me, I submitted the Work Experience on 16/Oct and got the following email on 17/Oct
"We acknowledge receipt of the documents. Please note, for technical reasons, they may not be visible in your online account. Rest assured that your supporting documents are indeed added and available for officer review."

Is this what you consider AOR ?
