Wait Time after Submitting Documents

Hello All,
I am just wondering if anyone has found the wait time for CEC to be 6 months as it says on the website or if they are finding it is taking less/more time?
I submitted all required documents on June 26th and it currently says that I passed my medical exam but my background check has been under review since June 27th. Just curious as to when I may hear back.

Hi! I received my MEP (medicals passed) on May 18 or 19th and submitted my application on May 10th and also still waiting to hear back. If you read through this forum you find that maybe most people received their PPR before the 6 months mark and some got it close to and some afterwards. Honestly there's really no way to tell. I would advice that you just assume its 6 months and not think too much about it (very hard not to) but this is the way to stay sane. You can also find the June applicants thread, its somewhere in this forum and you can see people who applied around the same time as you did, that's also helpful.
Otherwise, hold on tight (you might still have a couple of months to go), relax and good luck!

Hello Everyone,
Thought I’d provide an update for anyone who is in a similar boat as me. I received my ITA in May, submitted my full application for PR in mid-June, and I just received an email on October 17th that my PR application is almost complete - just had to send in my 2 commercial photos, copies of Passport (I am a US citizen so copies were acceptable), Annex A Form, and return xpress envelope to Ottawa. Now just waiting to get my official PR paper back in the mail to put in my passport before I can do the landing.

Hang in there everyone! I was told it can take up to 6 months or sometimes more and it ended up only taking 4! But still a very long time to wait.
