Wait or apply now?

I have my information ready and good to go for creating express entry profile. HOWEVER i wish to apply as family and my spouse still has to get IELTS cleared, her ECA needs to be done, most importantly her passport needs to be updated (with some corrections to her biodata, NAME, DOB etc). Should I wait for her documents to be cleared and then create a profile as family for create mine now and add them later somehow? Will it be possible to update her credentials? Such as DOB/Passport number etc.

If i remeber well you can add she doesnt have a travel document (passport) and then update once her new new one is made. How many points do you have though? If not enough then no point on creating your profile now. You can make a draft application but it expires within a couple of montjs

No standalone we don’t have enough points but I’m hoping with her Ielts and ECA we will reach at least 440. I read here that the older your application creation date gets you get a better chance if there is a tie in points? So for that reason I’m thinking of creating my profile and waiting it out until I get all documentation. I already have my Ielts now and eca ready.

Even if you create EE profile as if your spouse is not accompanying, you still need to declare your marriage with your spouse info anyway. Hence, I am really don't understand the ground of your question. Maybe you want to elaborate more about what make you think delay of creating EE profile will be better.

I am totally lost here. For me, creating EE profile asap is only the plus unless there is something that I don't know of.

You will still need your wife's passport.

My recommendation is to wait, relax and apply as a family. Don;t complicate things for yourself.

you can create the EE profile and start the process.

note that without spouse ECA/IELTS you will not get enough points and may not get ITA.

but once you have the IELTS/ECA, you can always update your EE application that will also revise CRS points.

Documents are only uploaded when submitting the final PR application after your recieve ITA. You dont have to provide any documents/upload anything when creating EE profile. You do need ECA number and IELTS test result number though.

I’m in the process of correcting her DOB. And I need to use relative points as her sister is in Canada already. There is a mismatch of DOB (only 3 months between them) a mistake that needs to be corrected before I can submit anything official. I’m just trying to get a sense of timeline maybe make it better chance if I put the foot in door first.
