I think it is a positive news for all the genuine applicants and bad for most of the middle class applicants coz no one has 13-14 lacs cash in bank.

Only those can apply now which has financial potential to do it, rest of them may move towards Australia I think, better option financially after Canada.

and rahul yeah you can do that...pay second sem. too from loan and show the rest as it is with application.

and sandhu bai there is no need to show any sourse bcoz they just ask only tuition fee receipt from institute and the GIC certificate.Nothing else need to proof financial proficiency. You can use that loan to pay 1yr tuition fee and to create a GIC certificate.thats it.

No need to worry a lot.

lol australia dont ever think of that u need much more money to get an australian visa this time and the profile should be extra ordinary to convince the vo and then crack the visa interview for australia and believe me the interviewers are the most arrogant creatures on this planet . dont think about australia newzealand would be a far better option

but in australia there is one exception if u are not good at ielts and going with elecos (learning english) then they can think of giving you the visa if u have huge bank balance because ......

1) they are getting lot of money from elecos

2) they will be pretty sure that if u are coming with an elecos u will not be able to get 8 bands each rewuired to lodge the pr application

so u will only spend u r hard earned money on paying fees and extending your study permit

oh yaar i personally had a very bad experience with australia and dont want it to happen with anyone else , thats y suggestion if anyone has to choose from australia and newzealand then go for newzeland , as newzeland and australia are just like same as canada and US if u manage to get into anyone of them then it is not a big deal to get access to the other country , and in both the cases newzealand and canada has upper side on the other country on granting visas so go for the linient one ............. and rest of all the statements was due to frustration towards australia

I am totally confused with this financial thing

Some one pls help me is this financial thing is ok...

I have toatal 20 laks in my bank....

I will pay 14000CAD to University from this 20 laks...

14000CAD=8 laks

then shows rest of amount as educational loan against FD(living expense)
means loan against around 12 laks (80% of 12 lack)....I am not going to put amount in Canadian bank....is it ok....

there is no need to show loan , simply just pay the 1st yr fee and show a GIC certificate. of 10000$ , thats it.No any bank statement or loan required .

If I am not going behind this GIC certificate can I take loan against my FD amount for this living expense...That means this 12 laks loan against FD(my all amount in SBI and I am getting interest from this FD so I don't want to put this amount into some other bank)....is it ok...

yeah GIC is not compulsory at all, But paying 1 yr fee is compulsory. rest 1 yr expenses you can show in way of GIC or loan.
