Volunteer as staff? No you can't. You still need a work permit. I asked as I am climbing walls with boredom as my homework is done in no time at all. March can't come soon enough.

yes, you can, I studied an english course for 6 months in Toronto and I worked as a volunter in JVS Toronto, but just 1 day per week and they gave me a diploma !!!!!!! I think that you can only work as volunter in Non profit Organization like JVS
