While waiting for the application to be processed, does anyone know the best way to find out if a particular volunteering opportunity or a educational course is approved for some just on a visitors visa? Is there some way to contact the CIC to get confirmation? The people offering the course couldn't give me any specific answers, and I want to also look into volunteering but I'm not entirely sure what falls under the allowed volunteering category for visitors. Would I be allowed to do administrative volunteering for example for a purely volunteering organization like meals for wheels for example?

think you can volunteer in no-profit organization .

you cannot study longer than 6 month with visitor visa.

Issue is that the course is one that you do at you own pace, you can sit the exam anytime you want up to 12 months.

is that online class? if so you can take it
but if you have to register and physical be in class over 6 months, the school might not let you register without study permit.
