Hello all,

I'm sponsoring my Conjugal Partner, our VO is Ankara. I was asked to submit a letter explaining our inability to marry on October 12. I sent my letter on October 19th, and they received it 2 days later on 21st (however, we were given 60 days to reply back). It's been 47 days since they have received our letter and we haven't been contacted since then. If they wanted to refuse our application, would they have already done so? OR is it still soon?

Any comment is appreciated.

They sometimes wait until the time limit they gave you is up. So they might not look at the extra documents until the 60 days are up. This might not be the reason in your case, but they do have a date on the applications to indicate when they should look at them next.

Thank you dear. I was thinking of the same issue. Probably have to wait for another month, or hopefully perhaps they have already reviewed it and didn't have any further concern. However in most cases I've seen they reply somehow within 4-8 weeks. Thanks for your opinion anyways :)

Hi Erina,

From our experience, that's the deadline for you to submit but there is no deadline for the officer to read your submission. Have patience and good luck!
