Visitor's Visa Validity

Hey Guys,

I'm currently a student here in Canada, and my parents and sister just recently got their visa.

I just would like to ask if their visa will still be valid even when they decide to come to Canada after 1 year of issuance without entering Canada yet? Their visa is valid til 2016.

Thanks! I thought there is a requirement to enter Canada within 6 months after the visa is issued. Just wanting to make sure about it cause they mentioned in their form that their arrival is December 2014, but is moved to a later date due to time constraints and ticket prices.
