Visitors Visa (TRV) Processing time 2016 India

Finally my parents got there passport back. Mutiple entries visa until expiry of their passport.

Timelines:

Applied online: 5th August

Sep 2nd: Passport request

sep 6th: Dropped passport @ HYD vfs---They sent to Bangalore VFS

Sep 17th: Got passport via Courier.

makes sense! my mother in law was in US and Canada last yar and got her visa. My parents applied a day after her, don't have travel history and ahve not heard anything yet ! the anxiety is killing me !

I was able to link the application finally. Figured it out.

Enter the details with identification as family name, given name option.

Enter other details exactly as in the form. But the only thing to remember is just put one space in place of birth. Don't enter the actual place of birth. Just a single space, and it will find a matching application, and you will be able to link it.

My parents visitor visas just got approved today. But with a twist. They were given only a single entry visa valid for 6 months. Their visa end date was as specified as in the application. Is this common to get a single entry visa instead of 10 yr multiple entry ??
I also have another question. As noted they have visa only until March 2017. They are planning to come to Canada in January 2017. Should they leave by march 2017 or they can stay upto 6 months from the date of entry ?? Even after their visa sticker on passport expires ?? Please answe this i am quite confused. Thanks in advance.

I tried all best possible ways to link application for trv for my sister. but it no luck.I tried both with one space on date of birth as well as by mentioning place of birth as per passport but no luck. For those whose application got linked what information it shows on my cic ? please help on linking

@Shmak2017 did your application go to Bangalore and then stamped from ND or did it directly go to ND?

In my case the application directly went to Bangalore. I had no choice to choose which office I'd like to file the application. I'm guessing ND office is quicker than Bangalore. I'm not sure what's wrong with Bangalore and why have they slowed down so much. I just hope it comes atleast a week before the travel date.

Finally the application status updated. It says your processed passport has been dispatched. Hopefully it means the visa is granted. Those who have already received it can you please let me know if we also get an email from CIC?

For those who are still awaiting updates my time line is
Applied 8th Aug
Passport dispatched 20th Sep

Shall update if it's approved or not.

I applied on 28 th July @ VFS BANGLORE.
Status same.....application being processed...
I think Delhi office works fast.
